		<title>Dartford Town Centre Lights Up</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Dartford Town Centre was brought to a standstill on Friday October 21 as around 800 people took part in the third Dartford Festival of Light.  The parade involved 10 schools from Dartford along with their parents and members of the public who joined in as the parade went around.  The children had been working hard in the preparation for the festival making lanterns and torches which they carried in the parade.  In total around 500 children benefited from workshops in the build-up to the event.

		<title>Gravesham Festival of Light October 14</title>
		<description><![CDATA[The fourth Gravesham Festival of Light took place on Friday October 14.  The Festival involving 13 local schools from the borough and around 400 young people was organised by local arts organisation Cohesion Plus in partnership with Kent Equality Cohesion Council with the support of Gravesham Borough Council and Kent County Council.

		<title>Maidstone Mela Attracts Record Numbers</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Music and food from around the world were order of the day at the 9th Maidstone Mela which took place over 3 days between September 9 and 11.  This proved to be the biggest Mela to date both in terms of attendance and content with thousands coming out to support the event.

		<title>Jazzy B and PBN excite crowds at Dartford Mela</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Music and food were order of the day at the 9th Dartford Community Mela Festival which took place on Saturday August 13 in Central Park.  Around 650 attended the free community event which was organised in partnership by the Kent ECC (Equality Cohesion Council) and Cohesion Plus with the help and support of Dartford Borough Council, Arts Council England and local community groups.

		<title>Tunbridge Wells Mela 2011</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Despite the poor weather the crowds again flocked to the Mela which took place on July 17.
Highlights included the energetic performance of bhangra star Foji, the Cohesion Plus produced fusion performance of African, Asian, North American and European music and dance titled &#8220;Fusion Clash&#8221; and an exciting finale by the Take That Experience.
The Mela was organised in partnership by Cohesion Plus and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.
