The Dartford Mela for the first time will take place outdoors at the band stand area of Central Park on Saturday September 25 between 1.30pm and 6pm.

Over 700 young people from 19 schools in Gravesham took  part in a schools parade through Gravesend town centre on April 23 to celebrate Saint Georges Day.  The event was been organised by Kent Equality Cohesion Council in partnership with Cohesion Plus supported by Gravesham Borough Council and Kent County Council.

Gravesend town centre was brought to a standstill on Friday evening as over 600 schools children, teachers, parents and members of the public were involved in the Festival of Light parade in the second Gravesham Festival of Light parade. This year’s Maidstone Mela is set to be the biggest yet with a weekend of festivities planned for all the family.
