DISMANTLING BARRIERS:

A TIME TO WALK THE WALK, NOT JUST TALK THE TALK

Conference Outline

The goal of the event is to bring together BAME leaders in the arts sector to talk about their experiences as people of colour, when it comes to working and leading cultural organisations and the challenges and barriers they have had to overcome to date. It will also aim to challenge tick box thinkers, unconscious biases and to have a meaningful and authentic discussion around the impact that Covid-19 and Black Lives Matter has had, as well as learning about how the private sector has responded from a diversity and inclusion perspective to these challenges.

The conference, arranged by Cohesion Plus with the support of Arts Council England, will be held online via Zoom. Delegates will have the opportunity to participate via the use of the chat facility and there will be a panel session following the presentations.
