Crawley Fusion Mela Brings Communities Together
Crawley came alive with music, dance, art and community spirit as Crawley Fusion Mela returned on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July 2026.
Delivered in partnership with Crawley Borough Council and supported by Arts Council England, the free weekend celebrated the many cultures and communities that make Crawley such a vibrant and diverse town.
Cohesion Plus produced the programme on Sunday in Memorial Gardens, working in partnership with Crawley Borough Council.
International Bhangra star Jassi Sidhu headlined the afternoon, bringing the weekend to a lively close. He was joined by the Rajasthan Heritage Band, Four by Four Kings of Bhangra and the family-friendly Circus Raj.
Local talent was at the heart of the programme, with performances from Replay Music, Ukrainian Voices, C-Raw Singers, Tamil Learning Centre Crawley, Solorizon Tropical, Rhythmix Dance Squad, Niruththiyalayam School of Dance and SWAG Squad.
The mix of established artists and local performers created a welcoming celebration for residents of all ages and backgrounds, while the stalls, workshops and family entertainment added to the atmosphere throughout the day.
Creative Crawley led Saturday’s programme at County Mall, presenting world-class dance, live music, film, art and creative activities. Highlights included African Night Fever with Saidi Kanda and the Mvula Mandondo band, Seeta Patel Dance’s Bharatanatyam production Shree and Otempodiz by Ertza Dance.

“We were really pleased to work with Crawley Borough Council to bring Fusion Mela back to the town. Memorial Gardens was transformed into a colourful celebration of Crawley’s communities, with a great mix of international artists and local performers. Crawley is home to people from so many different backgrounds, and Sunday’s Mela gave everyone an opportunity to come together, enjoy themselves and celebrate what they share.”
