Cohesion Plus Delivers Electrifying Bhangra Night Live at the Mick Jagger Centre for its 25th Anniversary Celebrations
Cohesion Plus was delighted to Bhangra Night Live, a high-energy celebration of British Bhangra and culture held at the Mick Jagger Centre as part of its 25th Anniversary festivities. The special event drew an enthusiastic crowd all eager to experience a night inspired by the golden era of 90s ‘old school’ gigs.
The live concert featured an exceptional line-up of some of the UK’s finest Bhangra and Hip Hop talent. Opening the night was the legendary Sardara Gill of Apna Sangeet, whose iconic vocals and timeless presence set the tone for a nostalgic yet electric evening. Rising rapper Kam Boora captivated the audience with his dynamic performance, showcasing the vibrant new wave of British Asian Hip Hop.
Bhangra superstars PBN and Jassi Sidhu brought their signature energy, star power, and classic hits to the stage, igniting the crowd and delivering standout performances that celebrated the best of the genre. Keeping the atmosphere buzzing between sets, DJ Replay took command of the decks, ensuring the dancefloor stayed full throughout the night.
The event served as both a tribute and a heartfelt love letter to the unforgettable Bhangra nights of the 1990s—an era that shaped generations and cemented the UK’s unique contribution to the global South Asian music scene.
The event wouldn’t have been possible without the help and support of local resident and community champion Cllr Avtar Sandhu MBE whose passion for the UK Bhangra scene fuelled the inception of the event as well as its success.
