Cohesion Plus and Kent Equality Cohesion Council working with Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust and Gravesham based community and faith partners have produced a video message encouraging local community members to take the Covid 19 vaccine.

The video message was produced as a result of the mass vaccination centre being opened at the Woodville Theatre in the borough and reports about lower uptakes of the vaccine from BAME (Black Asian Minority Ethnic) backgrounds in some parts of the country.

Gurvinder Sandher the Artistic Director of Cohesion Plus commented “It’s been troubling to hear of BAME communities reluctance to receive the vaccine. I think it is important that if we are to get out of this current situation and get back to some kind of normality over the coming months, as many people as possible need to take the vaccine. The aim on of our video message is to dispel fears by featuring members of the local diverse community and faith representatives voicing their support of the vaccine and we hope it sends out a reassuring and positive message.”
