The first ever Crawley Fusion Street Festival takes place around the town centre on Saturday August 7th between 11am and 2.30pm. The pop up festival will feature a life size elephant, stilt walkers, mime artists, samba, steel pan and bhangra dancing and will take place in Memorial Gardens, Queens Square and the High Street.

The event has been produced by Cohesion Plus who use the arts to break down barriers and promote greater understanding between communities by showcasing diverse art and celebrating shared values and Crawley Borough Council.

Gurvinder Sandher, Artistic Director of Cohesion Plus commented, “We are delighted to be working with Crawley Borough Council on this exciting new street festival. After the challenges of the pandemic we wanted to arrange something which would allow performances to take place in a safe way whilst at the same time showing that we are returning to some degree of normality. We have an array of artists performing so be prepared to see something different around the town centre in Crawley this Saturday.”
