The second Dartford Big Day Out produced by Dartford Borough Council took place on Saturday 15th July in Central Park and Cohesion Plus once again arranged a spectacular programme of off-stage performances, bringing vibrancy and colour to the day.
The off-stage programme which took place at the band stand consisted of Phase 5, a locally renowned steel pan band who brought the sounds of the Caribbean to Dartford, as well as DDFK, a fusion brass band who played pop chart hits in their signature brass style. Gracing the main stage were the Kings of Dhol who brought their famous flair and electricity, wowing the crowds. There was also a magician who entertained children and adults alike as well as roaming stilt walkers and walk about street acts.
Gurvinder Sandher MBE DL, Artistic Director of Cohesion Plus commented, “The Dartford Big Day out was a wonderful way to support Dartford Borough Council and showcase some amazing local, culturally diverse talent. The event is a great day out for families and it was a great way to celebrate Dartford for the diverse, dynamic borough it is.”
