Cohesion Plus Kent are proud to announce that the Gravesend Community Mela Festival will be taking place on Saturday July 14 between 2pm and 6.30pm along the Riverside at Gravesend Promenade. The Mela will feature a number of emerging artists including Raju Dinehwala and Jai Khan who will be joined by diverse Kent based artists including Steel Ambition and the Gravesham Legacy Dance Team. The Mela will be headlined by the award winning Four by Four Bhangra, BEE2 and Taj-E and bhangra superstar Jazzy B.

Gurvinder Sandher the Artistic Director of Cohesion Plus Kent commented “This is an excellent way to launch our summer of Mela’s and Festivals. We have put together an exicitng and diverse line up with acts performing a range of musicial styles and dance from street to bhangra folk, from belly dance to Steel Pan and from hip hop to bhangra fusion. We are grateful to Arts Council England for their on going support and all our community partners who have helped us make this Mela happen.”
