We are delighted to confirm that Gravesend Festival of Christmas Lights will be taking place this year on Friday 18 November.
Entertainment will be kicking off at 3pm in the town, with musical performances, including brass music with a pop twist and vibrant Samba sounds.
15 local schools will then take part in a lantern parade led by Deputy Lieutenant Dr Bhargawa Vasudaven, the Mayor of Gravesham Cllr Peter Scollard.
The procession will start from Community Square and make its way through the town centre, with the Christmas lights being switched on as the parade passes by. The route will circle back to Community Square for the lighting of the main Christmas tree at 5.30pm.
This event is delivered in partnership with Gravesham Borough Council, Kent Equality Cohesion Council, Same Sky and Arts Council England.
