Despite the poor weather the crowds again flocked to the Mela which took place on July 17.
Highlights included the energetic performance of bhangra star Foji, the Cohesion Plus produced fusion performance of African, Asian, North American and European music and dance titled “Fusion Clash” and an exciting finale by the Take That Experience.
The Mela was organised in partnership by Cohesion Plus and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.
The Artistic Director of Cohesion Plus commented “I was really pleased with the quality of the stage programme at the Mela. Despite the poor weather we had a good audience all the way through the event and we have subsequently received a lot of positive feedback from the audience. It is clear that there is a real passion for the Mela in Tunbridge Wells and it was so positive to see how the audience reacted to the different art forms showcased at the Mela from Folk to Bhangra to Samba to Pop.
